Generative AI is a hot topic in 2023. Being curious about it for a while, and having opportunity to participate in a hackathon, I immediately signed up.
Each team was assigned a business advisor to identify a real-world problem to solve. Our team's advisor was an executive from a luxury real estate company. They proposed a problem related to improving the client's sales process: a manual process of researching, scoring, and qualifying leads.
We had around 40 hours to brainstorm, design, and implement a solution. The team consisted of a product manager, a (busy) software engineer, and myself, all split across multiple time zones. Although we had little prior experience with GenAI, we managed to build a prototype and prepare a pitch deck.
Our solution utilizes the OpenAI ChatGPT API to enrich data, score profiles, and prepare personalized sales scripts. Additionally, while lacking React experience in the past 5 years, I used ChatGPT as my main resource to build the UI. Check out the demo video to see how it turned out.
Overall, I had a lot of fun learning about modern Generative AI technology, building the prototype, and meeting like-minded individuals! Many thanks to A.Team for organizing the event.
